Terms and Conditions; The association's purpose is to establish accountability for MMS creators and rights holders within the p2p mobile space. Upon establishment, the association will then monitor, collect and distribute MMS data revenue on behalf of those creators and rights holders. As an associate member you hereby promise to help the association achieve its missions on behalf of the whole. That promise includes spreading the word whenever possible and doing whatever is within your means to promote the cause. We prefer electronic documents, signatures and work deposits for most of our transactions. We do not share this information for commercial purposes. Our Privacy Policy is here.

As an associate member you may register and deposit up to 24 MMS works per year at -0- charge. Our process requires that all deposits must be verified as valid MMS. If you want to register more than 24 MMS works within a calendar year there is a handling charge which is currently $5.00 USD for each extra registration by members. Also, every member has a vote!
As an associate member you are supporting GDRI's efforts to represent your best interests in the development and maintenance of a new system of accountability and fair compensation. There are certain things that you must do to enable us to do these things more efficiently;
1. Please make sure your MMS content is clearly marked as copyrighted materials - eg; © 2010 John Doe LLC
2. Please keep good records and register your MMS works accurately with GDRI
"the association's purpose is to establish accountability and fair compensation for MMS creators and rights holders on peer2peer mobile systems; upon establishment, the Association will then monitor, collect and distribute MMS data revenue on behalf of those creators and rights holders; if we are successful in establishing this new revenue stream any valid claims are historically retroactive;"
The above statement means that if your works are registered properly with GDRI BEFORE we become authorized to monitor, collect and distribute MMS data revenue, a valid claim for a share of MMS data revenue that may have occurred since your registration and deposit can be made. As an example, copyright infringement cases are usually retroactive to the times the infringements first occurred.
Because we anticipate tracking massive amounts of MMS we are basing our systems on a "calendar year renewal". This means everything renews in January of each year. If you have initially joined somewhere within the year (to the nearest 1st of the month) you will be credited the difference on your next renewal.
Please be advised that if we do not achieve our mission, any and all assets of the Association will be dissolved per the Articles of Association;
Article VIII
Dissolution
a. In the event of dissolution of the organization, the assets of the association shall be distributed for one or more exempt purposes within the meaning of Section 501 (c) (6) of the Internal Revenue Code or corresponding section of any future Federal tax code, or shall be distributed to the Federal Government, or to a state or local government, for a public purpose.
In joining you are agreeing to abide by all terms and conditions mentioned here and those that may come as a result of future agreements within the Association. In order to exercise your rights as a member you must be a member in good standing.

(a Delaware Corporation) is a registered nonprofit, nonstock trade association, 501(c)(6) - Member dues, contributions or gifts to GDRI are not tax deductible as charitable contributions. However, they are usually tax deductible as ordinary and necessary business expenses under other provisions of the Internal Revenue Code. |
